The Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for proactively attracting, sourcing and integrating top talent to the organization, including effective onboarding and immersion of internal and external candidates. The position will also provide support for HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR leadership. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage full-cycle recruiting process for external and internal candidates. Foster internal and external candidate through interview, selection and hiring process, complete and submit appropriate paperwork, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for the candidate. Lead effort to develop, implement and execute hiring strategies, Partner and collaborate with all levels of management across all lines of business to understand job qualifications and candidate fit. Participate in job fairs and other recruiting activities and initiatives. Provide support to Human Recourses department in annual initiatives including but not limited to salary administration, performance management, benefits administration, and audits. Analyzes and uses HR metrics, such as turnover, time system data and overtime reports, to determine appropriate action; including workforce planning and forecasting. Assists in the maintenance, development, and administration of policies, procedures, and job descriptions to improve efficiencies and align with the strategic goals of Synagro. Provide field support in regard to day-to-day actives, exit interviews, UltiPro actions, employee relations and training and development. Assist in change management projects/initiatives Travel to within territory of responsibility to build relationships with leadership and field employees. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and field employees. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations and know how to appropriately use discretion. Ability to work with limited direction. Highly organized and able to create administrative processes to deliver consistent results. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure, and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision. Demonstrate the ability of being a team player by flexible, reliable, positive, and support team members. Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best practices. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: A Bachelor's degree with two to four years full life cycle recruiting and HR Generalist experience. 3 plus years of HR experience. Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs such as performance management. Strong communicator with the ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Highly organized and demonstrates a hands on approach in HR. UltiPro experience a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job operates in a professional office environment.
