WSP is currently initiating a search for a Part Time Systems Operator Trainee for our Utica, New York office. An Operator I shall have a detailed familiarity with the TMC daily obligations, tools, systems, regional roadways, understand communications protocols, be knowledgeable on locations and purpose of all ITS elements and shall be capable of independently following procedures and direction. If the System Operator I is not able to demonstrate proficiency after three months at the discretion of the NYSDOT TMC Manager, the Consultant shall provide additional training to the System Operator 1 at no cost to the Department. Additionally, there will be a six-month probation period for newly hired System Operator I / Trainees.
