A consulting services company in Florida is looking to add a new Staff Accountant to join their team in Fort Lauderdale. Responsibilities: The Staff Accountant will:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple entities
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial statements including balance sheet schedules and other reconciliations
- Work closely with independent auditors during annual financial statement audit with preparing schedules and invoices, providing explanations of supporting materials & procedures, and preparing any other necessary data
- Post accounts to the General Ledger, including Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable, Cash Disbursements, and Payroll
- Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material; update records as necessary
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of General Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Working knowledge of Accounting software
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
