Compensation: $4,655 - $5,400 dependent upon experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ensure fields are playable for both practices and games. This will often require communication with the Port and Athletic Director

* Must complete my247 and all WIAA trainings through FinalForms and SafeSchools through the district prior to the beginning of the sport's season

* Provide clear and consistent communication to all players, parents, and other coaches when there are schedule changes

* Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport

* Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises

* Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice

* Provides determining game strategy

* Follows established procedures in the event of an injury

* Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators

* Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security

* Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach

* Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times

* Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies

* Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records

* Models non discriminatory practices in all activities

* Must complete SafeSchools training prior to the beginning of the sport's season

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* High School diploma or GED

* Previous Coaching experience preferred

* Reasoning Ability

* Ability to communicate with high school students, parents, coaches and staff

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

* CPR/First Aid card

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. Ability to speak effectively to administration, staff, students and parents.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Ability to work independently and to communicate proactively

* Teamwork and teambuilding

* Strong communication skills

* Skills in reading, understanding and following safety rules and regulations
