eDiscovery Attorney – Plaintiff Firm (Opioid Litigation Focus)
Pay: $154,000-$177,000 (based on 10–15+ years of experience)
Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 remote, or fully remote if required (must live in TX, LA, CA, NY, or Washington, DC)
Can be barred in any state but the above states are the client's first preference
Travel: 25–30% travel to client locations for document collection (multi-day trips)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (attorneys may bill additional hours as needed)
LHH is seeking a seasoned eDiscovery Attorney with 10+ years of experience to join our client's team.
Responsibilities
- Represent the firm on national committees and eDiscovery leadership teams. Serve as the primary advisor to other offices and executive management on eDiscovery matters.
- Oversee eDiscovery processes for high-volume litigation. Adjust team staffing as needed to meet case demands and deadlines.
- Negotiate ESI protocols with defendants.
- Design document databases and manage client document collection, review, and production.
- Advise litigation teams on strategies for document review and production.
- Implement and leverage technology-assisted review tools.
- Present eDiscovery processes to clients and ensure compliance with legal holds, preservation, and data collection.
- Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting eDiscovery issues with clients, defendants, and co-counsel.
- Create and share eDiscovery standards and practices with internal teams, other offices, and co-counsel upon request.
- Ensure all eDiscovery deadlines are met by collaborating with lead counsel, IT litigation support, and the eDiscovery team.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in eDiscovery with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Must be an active barred attorney in good standing preferably in TX, LA, CA, NY, or Washington, DC - will consider people nationwide
- Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of eDiscovery, including database design, ESI protocols, document review strategies, and production management.
- Technology: Proficiency in technology-assisted review tools and advanced eDiscovery software.
- Travel-Ready: Willingness to travel 25–30% of the time to client locations.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
