The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for compiling, recording, verifying, and maintaining data to accounts payable records. Primary function is to analyze and process accounts payable transactions/invoices, conduct research and analysis to resolve invoice discrepancies. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to analyze and process invoices at a high volume with a commitment to quality, as well as adherence to department performance metrics.
- Assist on all aspects of Month-End Close, Audits and Ad-Hoc projects.
- Due to hybrid schedule, when in office, open mail, scan checks, obtain authorized bank signatures, place checks in envelopes and mail.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits and respond to external auditor inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following credentials:
- Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two- year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4 - 6 years of related Accounts Payable experience
- A/P or other accounting certification a plus
- Extensive computer experience to include Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Calendar and Excel
- Advanced experience with Excel formulas including V-lookup, pivot, sum, sort and filter required.
- Working knowledge of an ERP accounting system (Netsuite and Dynamics 365 experience a plus)
- Working knowledge of a merchandise factory payment system (Trade Card (GT Nexus / Infor) system experience a plus)
- 10 key by touch is required
- Crouching, bending and lifting 25 pounds
