About the Role:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
  • Lead and motivate a sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, assess competition, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders in the region.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate accurate sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with production capabilities.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's concrete pipe products and effectively communicate product features and benefits.
  • Work within budget constraints, allocating resources effectively to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
  • Lead or support contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company policies.
  • Generate and analyze sales reports, providing insights to senior management and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, addressing concerns, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Be willing to travel within the assigned region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee sales operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent sales experience.
  • Three - five years of experience in the concrete pipe, box, and precast industry required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills including the ability to solve problems proactively, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience opening new markets and establishing new customers
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, proven sales and marketing ability.
  • A consistent track record of increasing sales revenue.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner shows initiative, willing to seek out information to achieve sales goals.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet and other database/ERP applications.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel over 50-75 percent of the time.
