Summary:
The AAMU-RISE enterprise supports multiple contract customers for Alabama A&M University. RISE performs on a variety of projects and tasks across the government and industrial arena. Multiple full-time positions are available for technical support on these initiatives. Pay varies depending on the candidate grade/tier, and by the applicable task order.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to perform per the customer specification either onsite at AAMU, or at the customer facilities, as determined by the task.
* Investigate and resolve technical issues per customer requirements.
* Provide technical assistance and support as required.
* Troubleshoot existing systems, and perform upgrades; based on customer needs.
* Ability to prioritize activities and document process as necessary.
* Ability to execute assigned tasks and procedures.
* Some creativity and latitude are expected.
* Typically reports to a project leader or engineer.
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Ability to multitask.
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
* 2-year degree or equivalent credentials, and any other educational requirements necessary to satisfy customer specifications.
* 0-5 years of experience, or as appropriate for the position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to perform tasks per customer requirements.
* General knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, and communications.
* Ability to simultaneously coordinate and complete multiple projects.
* Advanced troubleshooting techniques.
* Maintains records of completed tasks.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
