**Summary: **
Grifols Diagnostics is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our team. This position is located in Rancho Bernardo - San Diego, CA and will be reporting to the Supervisor, Packaging and Labeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manual assembly of blood screening kits according to manufacturing instructions. The ideal candidate should have experience in packaging in a GMP regulated environment, be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and safety, as well as the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
** Primary responsibilities for role: **
Handling of temperature-sensitive semi-finished goods for the use in blood bank kits
Performing ERP transactions
Performing daily cycle count activities
Verify materials for manufacturing work orders
Operate manual and motorized warehouse equipment
Maintain training procedures
General packaging area housekeeping
Maintain detailed and accurate device history records and logbooks
Perform routine set-up of packaging station
**Additional Responsibilities: **
Follows all safety rules; enter cold/frozen environments; maneuver pallets and equipment; assist in maintaining inventory accuracy; track labor hours for process orders
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: **
Zero to basic knowledge of ERP system; basic knowledge of GMP; ability to follow oral and written instructions; basic computer knowledge and use of email; basic organizational skills; attention to detail; repetitive standing, walking, bending and lifting; basic mathematic skills required

Typically requires high school diploma
**Experience: **
0-2 years related experience
**Equivalency: **
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. PayScale
The estimated pay scale for Packaging Technician I role based in San Diego, CA, is $16.61 to $20.76 per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
