We are hiring a full-time Warehouse associate for our Critical Parts / Supply Chain segment in our Airway Heights facility. This position, named Supply Chain Specialist , is on site Monday - Friday, and includes rotating weekends on call. The shift starts at 8:00 am and usually ends by 4:30 pm. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving inbound freight, maintaining inventory records, picking & processing orders and shipping/delivering time critical shipments. At WPX, we design custom delivery solutions for clients operating in industries with unique supply chain requirements Job Description SUMMARY The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for receiving, picking, processing orders, and shipping/delivering time critical shipments. This is an active warehouse position in a fast-paced environment that includes unloading freight, unpacking freight, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory control, picking orders, packing and preparing orders for shipment, working with will-call customers, and making time-sensitive deliveries driving a cargo van or similar vehicle (less than 10,00 GVW). Deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner following standard company procedures and safety requirements. Assignments and work duties must meet established deadlines and performance goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick and pack parcels for shipment
- Shelve and store product and maintain accurate records
- Ship and deliver orders
- Maintain an accurate physical inventory
- Process invoices and maintain organized filing system
- Maintain accurate electronic and written records of all shipments
- Make deliveries using a company van or similar vehicle
- Interact with customers via e-mail, telephone, and in person at will-call desk or on site
- Input data for all transactions into an internet-based Warehouse Mangement System
- Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicle, following all safety and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Establish and maintain courteous business relationships with drivers, customers, clients and co-workers
- Maintain excellent work habits including attendance, punctuality & safety procedures
- Install and use company provided Apps on a personal smartphone device
- Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed, professional appearance including proper uniform
- Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly manner
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 23 years old and hold a current, valid drivers' license with a clean driving record (MVR)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Warehouse shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Previous on-the-job experience driving a cargo van or larger vehicle
- Demonstrated knowledge of defensive driving techniques, local geographic area and roadways
- Able to read and follow roadmaps
- Repeatedly enter and exit a cargo vehicle, bend, stoop, reach, walk push, pull, carry, lift arms over head, balance, kneel crouch and crawl
- Routinely and repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds
- Able to stand on feet on cement floor for up to eight (8) hours per day
- Requires good vision and depth perception
- Must have a working smartphone for scanning
- Ability to log in to a computer and read and compose email
- Clearly read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions in all units of measure
- Ability to keypunch data into a computer
- Above-average skill with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Safely operate a cargo van or light-to-medium duty box truck
- Safely operate a forklift and follow all safety and maintenance procedures
- Work as directed or unsupervised
- Establish priorities and meet goals even under pressure
- Maintain a cheerful, courteous demeanor in difficult situations
- Must be able to prove eligibility for employment in the United States
