Project Managers are responsible for and supervises work of project Administration, project Superintendents, and Project Engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with Owners, Subcontractors, Unions, etc. to accomplish the best economic and expeditious execution of the scope of work. This person must be efficient, accurate, handle high pressure situations with ease, and has responsibility for project financials, scheduling, quality and Client relationship.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in the Companys safety program, continue ongoing training in Company's safety program and appropriate certifications such as OSHA, CPR, etc.
Create and maintain site program & individual project budgets
Assist the Sr. Project Manager and Superintendent in the following duties:
o Preparation and delivery of monthly pay applications
o Evaluate and resolve conflicts between CPS and Subcontractors, or between Subcontractors
o Assist with the interpretation of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and design
o Develop and manage cost control on the project
o Assist in the development of project schedules
o Track and report on project progress
Must be able to maintain project updates per project specifications
o Manage timely acquisition of materials and equipment for the project
o Organize and facilitate weekly meetings as required
o Update and maintain project records
o Facilitate and manage the Quality Control process
o Support the BIM process
o Manage, train, and mentor the APMs
Professional Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; will consider minimum of 10 years practical experience
Minimum of 8 years of professional construction experience
GC experience required, green field experience preferred
Three or more years of Project Management experience in commercial construction practices and procedures. Industrial construction preferred, not required
Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, CSI building codes, and industry best practices
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project preferred but not required), BlueBeam, Revit, Design Reviewer, and Adobe Professional
Construction Management software use experience with ProCore is required, familiarity with P6 scheduling software, Microsoft Project are preferred but not required (i.e.: document control and schedule software, etc.)
Ability to read construction documents and specifications, inclusive of construction drawings, contracts, scopes of work, financial documents such as Change Orders, Pay Apps, Purchase Orders, & other pertinent project related documents
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel commitment & on-site presence. Regardless of the Candidates current location, the expectation is that the Candidate will be present to manage construction operations on the project site.
