Job Description :

Position Objective: The Facility Administrator (FA) will oversee the daily operations of the VA Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). This role involves comprehensive management and supervision of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Shipper/Packers, ensuring compliance with all VA regulations and policies, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Management and Supervision:

* Provide on-site supervision and technical monitoring of contract staff.

* Ensure compliance with VA policies, including onboarding, training, competency assessments, and performance management.

* Oversee human resource management duties and policy compliance.

* Develop and maintain an effective quality control program.

* Operational Oversight:

* Ensure contract staff are ready for work at the beginning of their shifts and work until their scheduled tour of duty is complete.

* Coordinate scheduling, payroll, disciplinary actions, and other administrative functions.

* Manage the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, including the operation of automated and manual filling equipment.

* Program Management:

* Provide sufficient administrative personnel to manage all human resource and administrative functions.

* Submit monthly schedules and adjust as needed based on volume and workload changes.

* Coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) regarding overtime and staffing requirements.

* Quality Assurance:

* Ensure services are performed according to the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

* Submit quality control plans and any requested changes for approval.

* Maintain records of staff background investigations, training, and performance evaluations.

* Compliance and Reporting:

* Adhere to all VA handbooks, directives, and policies.

* Ensure all contract employees meet VA employee standards of productivity, competency, quality, conduct, and protocol.

* Provide required reports, including daily staff reports, monthly production reports, and quarterly turnover rate reports.

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum of five years of work experience in on-site managerial supervision, leading more than 30 personnel.

* Six Sigma Certification at or above the Green Belt Level and/or Project Management Certification.

* Strong leadership abilities and experience in business operations, project management, and human resources.

* Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Effective interpersonal communication skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff.

* Ability to manage and supervise a diverse team, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

* Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects

Working Conditions:

* Shifts:

* First Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

* Second Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

* Environment:

* Ability to sit/stand for long periods (8-10 hours).

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds using equipment such as pallet jacks.

Additional Requirements:

* Must be able to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.

* Must pass VA background investigations and obtain necessary clearances.

* Must adhere to VA's Drug-Free Workplace Policy and undergo drug screening if required.
