Job Description :

This is a full-time, permanent position, joining a FORTUNE 500 manufacturing company that is a client of Next Level Partners. Specific company information is confidential, but will be shared upon initial interview discussion.

About the role:

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in SQDC by developing an excellent organization, and methodically & aggressively implementing a lean operating methodology techniques and tools. Report directly to the VP of Operations and lead 150 - 175 passionate and dedicated employees.

The location: Facility located in Thomasville, NC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a culture where safety, quality, delivery and cost are the main focal points with a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Lead change and a lean transformation. Our client has an enterprise-wide lean operational excellence program.
  • Short-term initiatives - unite plant into one vision and optimize quick wins with employees, processes, and ensure that everyone is on same page.
  • Longer term – through lean process improvement initiatives, improve plant versatility to support new products. Effect and align to SIOP, ensuring accurate prediction of future production needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preference for engineering or technical degree.
  • Experience overseeing metals machining operations
  • 10+ years manufacturing operations leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement through the successful development of a lean culture.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading Lean initiatives and delivering operational breakthroughs
  • Strong developer of people.
  • A collaborative leader with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams

Through superior performance it is expected that further growth will occur in operations or related areas at the division or corporation.

  • This is a 100% onsite role.
