Job DescriptionAn industry leader in turn-key chemical blending, toll manufacturing, and private label packaging services is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing and packaging operations. The ideal candidate has strong supervisory skills, experience in production processes, and knowledge of operating machinery. Communicating effectively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by ensuring safety compliance, maintaining product quality, and meeting production targets in line with company policies and regulations. Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX 77471 Type of Position: Direct Hire Schedule: 3:00PM -12:30AM Responsibilities:
  • Make safety a priority daily for themselves & team members holding team members accountable for compliance to safety processes/procedures.
  • Responsible for directing, organizing, and overseeing the blending & filling/packaging of chemical products. Ensure that all production is completed in accordance with established quality and production standards.
  • Evaluate production employees driving accountability in performance.
  • Organize, schedule, and prioritize daily activities to meet demand.
  • Ensure that processes are being completed according to Company standards and specifications.
  • Complete related paperwork, reports, and support functions.
  • Maintain the production schedule provided by the Customers Production Planned.
  • Inform management of any significant problems, issues, or concerns.
  • Ensure production procedures and instructions are followed.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Review and update production policies and procedures regularly.
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management.
  • Provide suggestions for improved performances.
  • Communicates with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure that supplies and inventory are at appropriate levels.
  • Set up machinery and ensure that machinery operates properly.
  • Assist with other production activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent (minimum)
  • At least three years of chemical production (or related) supervisory experience
  • Prior knowledge of formulating, testing, and inspecting various chemical products
  • Knowledgeable of and able to operate production machinery
  • Quality orientation and attentive to detail
  • Strong supervisory abilities
  • Solid decision-making skills
  • Able to perform basic computer functions
