If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!As a Financial Reporting Staff Accountant at Sinclair, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our SEC filings are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.Responsibilities:* Assist team with timely and accurate preparation of SEC filings, involving quarterly and annual financial reports, proxy statements, 401K statements, and other regulatory filings, as necessary.* Prepare various schedules and variance analysis to be used by management, the board of directors, and independent auditors.* Prepare monthly and quarterly close schedules.* Perform controls around financial reporting activities.Requirements:* At least 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.* Active CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus.* Experience with U.S. GAAP.* Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.* Desire and ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with others.* Proficient or advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word.* Experience with Oracle is a plus.* Excellent analytical and organizational skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organization.This position is not a remote position and requires 5 days in the office at our Corporate Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD.Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace!About UsSinclair, Inc. Let's talk.The base salary compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
