Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Summary: * The Certified Nurse Aide applies and demonstrates all knowledge and skills learned in the Nurse Aide Training Program and as directed and supervised by the Certified Nurse Aide Instructor. * Assumes specific duties involving direct resident care upon successful demonstration of required skills as taught and supervised by the Instructor in a classroom and clinical setting. * Successfully pass the NYS Certified Nurse Aide Exam composed of both computer based written exam and a clinical skills exam monitored by a registered nurse evaluator. * Demonstrates St. Peter's Health Partners Mission and Core Values. Education Requirements: * Must be able to read, write and speak English; High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others. Experience Requirements: * Experience in service delivery in the health care, business or domestic field is preferred. * Must be able to attend the 4 weeks Certified Nurse Aide Training Course. Day Shift, 37.5 hours a week for 4 weeks, 8a - 4p; 3 weeks in a classroom setting and 1 week in a clinical setting.
