*Salary is based upon experience and skill level.Summary/Objective The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on industrial manufacturing equipment. This position also requires routine building maintenance both inside the facility and the outside landscaping and grounds. Projects will be directed by the Facilities Maintenance Lead.
Essential Functions - Performs and coordinates scheduled cleaning and servicing of equipment in an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to repair equipment when unscheduled breakdowns occur.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance and repairs to machines including but not limited to wall switches, outlets, incandescent and florescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc. using appropriate tools.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance and repairs including but not limited to repair leaks, unclogging of drains and septic, replace hoses, drains and faucets as needed.
- Performs HVAC maintenance and minor repairs.
- Routinely inspects the facility and grounds to identify any issues or potential issues.
- Maintains workspace, tools, materials, and supplies in a neat and good working condition.
- May be asked at times to assist landscaping remove branches from the grounds, keep walkways and parking lot free of debris, clean out drainage ditches and culverts as needed, keep landscape free of weeds by regular weeding.
- Performs set-up, tear down and clean up for client, visitor visits and tours as well as company sponsored functions.
- Understands and complies with all hazardous materials storage and handling requirements.
- Reports or corrects all safety hazards identified in a timely fashion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Educations and Experience - High school diploma, GED and/or Technical School Graduate or industry recognized certification.
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a bonus.
- A valid driver's license is highly preferred.

Work Environment Work is regularly performed in a combination of environments including office, shop environment and outside. The position is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise as well as hot, cold and high humidity.
