Southeastern is looking for a head boy's ice hockey coach for the 2024- 2025 school year. POSITION SUMMARY:

* Maintains open lines of communication with parents/caregivers, athletes, administrators, and other stakeholders.
* Supports student-athletes' academic and vocational progress.
* Demonstrates a commitment to the development of student-athletes at all levels of the program and the coaches under their direction.
* Collaborates with parents/caregivers to facilitate team-building gatherings, award banquets, end-of-year celebrations, etc.
* Models professional and ethical conduct for student-athletes and coaches at all times.
* Adheres to MIAA and District regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Maintains and communicates roster changes.
* Collaborates with the Supervisor of Athletics and Student Activities to create the game schedule, including senior games.
* Maintains a presence in locker room areas before and after practices and games.
* Reports concerns about facilities or equipment conditions in a timely manner.
* Schedules and attends all pre- and post-season team meetings.
* Attends all meetings and performs all duties related to league affiliation, as directed by the Supervisor of Athletics and Student Activities.
* Distributes and collects all team uniforms and equipment.
* Assists other coaches and administrators with loading the daily late buses; and ensures that all players are on the bus or on their way home before leaving campus.
* Ensures that all members of the team travel to and from scheduled athletic events in the transportation furnished by Southeastern Regional School District.
* Supervises the loading and unloading of student-athletes and equipment onto/from the buses for away contests and practices.
* Reports all injuries to the trainer and follows the trainer's directives regarding return-to-play protocols.
* Reports game results to all appropriate local media and the Supervisor of Athletics and Student Activities.
* All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Supervisor of Athletics and Student Activities, or designee
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent;
* A minimum of three years of coaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong interpersonal skills;
* Knowledge of the MIAA rules and regulations and other relevant policies and procedures; or
