The Material Handler - II position requires 3+ years of experience working as a Material Handler within an injection molding operation. This position reports directly to the Injection Molding Department Production Supervisor and works within a cohesive team, consisting of additional Material Handlers and Process Technicians to ensure that ECHO's injection molding operation runs as efficiently as possible on a daily basis. 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:45am - 3:00pm Starting at $22/HR. Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining ECHO's automated material handling system, which consists of 30+ dryer bins, 30+ blenders, 10+ vacuum pumps, and 36 machine loaders.
  • Ensure correct material is conveyed to each machine on a daily basis through proper material handling system setup and programming.
  • Clean blender, dryer, machine loader filters based on designated PM schedules.
  • Report system component wear and malfunction to supervision and maintenance team immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of ECHO's state-of-the-art material handling and conveying system daily.
  • Hand-mix sample batch resin and colorants, along with low-volume blends on a daily basis as needed. Ensuring that scales and correct math calculations are used for proper formulation blending.
  • Review Bill of Materials on Manufacturing Orders at every mold change and start-up to ensure that correct resin is selected to be conveyed to each machine and mold.
  • Maintain, organize, and communicate all raw plastic resin inventory levels daily.
  • Correctly separate and process all scrap parts and runners throughout each day to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Process all scrap parts and runners through designated grinding equipment, ensuring that zero cross-contamination of resins occurs.
  • Remove scrap bins from molding machines as needed throughout the shift and deliver empty scrap bins to each machine location to ensure that the production area stays clean and organized at all times.
  • Will be responsible for assisting Process Techs with various mold change tasks. Proper training will be provided as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a positive approach to a heavy workload on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs. repetitively on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally in English. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
