Lumenex Bio is seeking talented and motivated Research Associate to join our growing preclinical research team. Position Overview
The Research Associate will work closely with our Senior Scientists and Research team to advance our preclinical pipeline through detailed molecular, cellular, and animal studies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking therapeutic development in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preclinical animal studies including dosing, sample collection, and tissue collection and analysis
- Process and analyze biological samples for various downstream applications
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and contribute to research documentation
- Present findings in team meetings and contribute to research reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques
- Experience with cell culture and basic cellular assays
- Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Doctorate in relevant field
- Experience with animal handling and in vivo studies
- Knowledge of GLP/GMP practices
- Previous experience in therapeutic development or biotech industry
- Proficiency with data analysis software and statistical methods
Working Conditions
- Full-time position (Monday-Friday) at our research facility
- May require weekend work for time-sensitive experiments
- Must be comfortable working with laboratory animals
Experience Level & Compensation
Position level and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications:
- Associate Level (2-4 years experience): Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with demonstrated laboratory expertise
- Senior Level (5+ years experience): Ph.D. or equivalent experience, with proven track record in molecular biology and animal studies
- Ability to work hands-on in the lab, write protocols, and execute studies using in-house capabilities or in collaboration with CROs.
- Direct experimental experience with the complex disease biology of vascular disease
- Proficiency in collaborating on writing protocols, reports, and regulatory documents.
- Proficiency with assays development, ELISA, microscopy, histology/pathology and ex vivo tissue processing.
