Light Industrial/ManufacturingAssembler - Job ID#205506 Chelmsford, MA Posted: 11/28/2024Job DescriptionJob ID#:205506Job Category:Light Industrial/ManufacturingPosition Type:Associate - W2Duration:48Shift:2Positions Available:6*Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. *PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Micro Electronics Assembler, in Chelmsford, MA.Responsibilities:Performs fabrication or modification tasks on RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies of mid-range to high-complexityDuties include installation of connectors, substrates, components, and modules in highly complex microwave assemblies, often utilizing paste and sheet epoxiesPerforms disassembly, assembly, modification, rework, and repair operations on various pre-production subassemblies, assemblies, and complete systems that utilize integrated circuit technologyPerforms the above operations after the units have been rejected by testing and are sent back with test failure sheets, isolating the problem areaPlans work sequence by assessing available work in progress to meet schedule requirementsUtilizes measurement equipment (e.g. reticle, drop indicator, etc) to check parameters during and after work to ensure that the unit conforms to specificationsCollaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot products to specificationsWorks independently with minimal supervisionBasic Hiring Criteria:High School Diploma or equivalentInterim Secret clearance is required to start the position (must be included on resume)Previous experience in electronics/microelectronics assemblyAbility to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar tools; Good dexterity, eye/hand coordinationAbility to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activitiesAbility to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming, and communication skillsSecond Shift Hours 3:00pm to 1:30amDesired Qualifications:Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearanceFamiliarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environmentExperience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devicesExperience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environmentsAbility to work with minimal supervisionExperience soldering components to printed wiring boards in accordance with J-STD-001Job RequirementsMinimum Security Clearance:SecretVEVRAA Federal Contractor / Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals / Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit or Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:The California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceVEVRAA Federal Contractor / Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals / Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
