Navigator Recruiting client is a well-established 15-employee CPA firm in Boulder seeking a Senior Tax Manager. The firm is looking for someone with a great personality who excels at client service and can independently manage a substantial client list with various business and individual returns. The firm has low turnover and a strong group of core employees who've been with the firm for a long time and work well together as a team. This firm is also growing and there are opportunities to grow with the firm.
Responsibilities
Professional management of compliance, planning and consulting for multiple clientsReview and interpretation of financial records to determine any adjustments needed to prepare tax returns and compliance filing requirementsDirect and timely communication with clients to obtain additional information regarding their tax planning and compliance issuesSuccessful research of tax laws and compliance on complicated issues relative to tax planning for clientsPreparation and review of tax returns in a timely and efficient mannerSupervision, development and mentoring of fellow staff to assist with client needs and professional growthPromotion of the firm through occasional business-building activitiesRequirements
High levels of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the public accounting professionCPA license is requiredUltraTax and QuickBooks experience is helpful8 – 10 years of experience and demonstrated ability in the preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals, fiduciary, non-profit organizations and small businessesAbility to acquire, develop, and retain clientsResourcefulness and willingness to learnProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareStrong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projectsAbility to exercise good judgment, be a team player and be proactiveStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for serviceAbility to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations professionally and effectivelyAbility to adhere to security procedures in handling confidential and sensitive information at all timesAbility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during tax season and during other deadline periods as neededAbility to develop and coordinate plans for work completionAbility to manage and communicate effectively with fellow staff membersApply and provide feedback to improve performance for yourself and othersAdaptability to change in the work environment, manage competing demands, deal with unexpected assignments or eventsExercise good judgment by recognizing when assistance is needed and make timely decisions supported by sound reasoning#J-18808-Ljbffr
