Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for a Procurement Assistant Manager for an industry-leading international renewable energy company. The Procurement Assistant manager will support the acquisition of electrical equipment and materials for all EPC projects. This role involves managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and supply chain logistics, specifically for electrical equipment.
- Procurement Planning and Strategy:
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate material specifications.
- Identify and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable contract terms, and monitor supplier performance to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure accurate procurement, issue and track purchase orders, and maintain records of purchases and supplier communications.
- Help manage the procurement budget, track costs, and report on procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, and maintain procurement documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of procurement experience in the EPC or renewable energy industry.
- Strong background in procuring electrical equipment.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and supplier negotiations.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment specifications and pricing trends.
Pluses:
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
