IT Support Specialist

Location: Texas (on-site)

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Specialist to join a growing international logistics company as they expand into the US market with their new Texas office.

With around eight employees already on-site, this role will make you the first member of the IT team in the US, working closely with the established UK team to ensure seamless IT operations. This is an important position where you'll play a key role in building and maintaining robust IT infrastructure to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive 1st and 2nd Line IT support, logging and managing support tickets.
  • Configure and manage networks, troubleshooting connectivity issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up PCs, laptops, and user accounts for new starters, and deactivate accounts for leavers.
  • Oversee IT procurement processes, managing suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage IT assets and devices using tools such as Microsoft Intune and Defender.
  • Monitor IT systems, identifying and escalating issues as required.
  • Provide basic IT training to team members to enhance overall tech proficiency.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, Teams, and Defender.
  • Familiarity with service desk systems and IT asset management tools.
  • Perhaps some certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar)

Experience Required:

  • At least two years of experience in IT support, plenty of 1st and 2nd Line responsibilities.
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with network configuration, device management, and endpoint security tools.
  • A proven ability to manage supplier relationships and procurement processes effectively.
