Your Role:

As a Plant Operator, you'll oversee plant equipment and boiler systems, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations. You'll also lead and train plant personnel to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Operations: Maintain proper boiler combustion and steam flows for peak efficiency and minimal emissions.
  • Monitor Performance: Continuously track operational and emissions data, addressing changes proactively.
  • Leadership: Train and coordinate Assistant Utility Operators, Utility Operators, and Assistant Plant Operators.
  • Maintenance: Conduct detailed inspections during outages and perform maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: At least 2 years as an Assistant Plant Operator or 5 years of experience in a power plant or similar environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in valve repacking, equipment inspection, and other mechanical tasks.
  • Licensing: Ability to secure an ASME QRO Provisional License and a 2nd Class Engineer License for Massachusetts facilities.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong math skills and a thorough understanding of steam-generating power plant operations.
