About the role:
Forter is looking for a highly motivated Director of Corporate Finance FP&A to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team. The Director will report directly to the VP of FP&A and lead the Corporate Finance team.
This position will be based in New York and will follow a hybrid working model.
What you'll be doing:
Financial Planning & Analysis:Lead the annual planning process and forecasting cycles.Lead consolidated management reporting and tracking of key company metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize performance.Develop financial models to support business decision-making and lead cross-functional initiatives to support growth and profitability.Track risks and opportunities to the plan and maintain leadership informed of key growth and profitability levers.Monthly Close and Reporting:Partner with Accounting on the close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of executive level reporting.Design and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for executive management and the board of directors.Monitor and advise leadership on external factors and macro trends that could impact the business and financial plans.Strategic Financial Leadership:Collaborate with executives to lead the development of the Company's long-range plan and set long-term financial goals and strategies.Lead the development and creation of ad-hoc financial analyses to advise executives.Provide financial support and advisory to any potential corporate transactions.Investor Relations and Treasury Support:Serve as a key liaison with investor relations, providing updates on financial performance and Company guidance.Partner with Treasury on FX and cash management strategies.Support quarterly investor reporting.Scaling & Process Improvements:Lead scaling efforts on systems and tools to drive productivity and process efficiency.Partner with BI team to automate and deliver real-time insights to leadership.Team Leadership & Processes:Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Corporate Finance team.Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented culture within the Finance department.What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree; and/or MBA.8-10 years professional experience, ideally with prior experiences in Corporate Finance FP&A, Investment Banking, Investor Relations, Equity Research, M&A or related field.Prior experience working in a public company, ideally within the software industry.Demonstrated ability to scale teams and identify and execute process improvements.Ability to influence executive level strategic decisions through data-driven insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Expert understanding of financial modeling and financial statements.Experience developing and retaining a strong performing team.Ability to think critically and creatively.High standard of work quality and product.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Master in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Experience in Netsuite, FP&A Software, Salesforce, and Qliksense.Salary Range: $185,000 - $230,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits.The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
