GWU seeks a creative, motivated, and innovative sales professional to serve as an Enrollment Development Officer for Digital Learning Enrollment/Gardner-Webb Online, representing the Godbold College of Business. This position recruits prospective students for Graduate Business programs. This position reports to the AVP of Digital Learning Enrollment and works collaboratively with the Godbold College of Business.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the AVP of Digital Learning Enrollment, Director of Marketing and Communication Strategies, and faculty in developing, implementing, and assessing marketing and recruiting plans for Online Graduate Education Programs, Graduate English, and Graduate Counseling.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with applicants and prospective students in person, by phone, text messaging, printed media, and online
- Initiate, develop, and maintain partnerships with local school systems, community colleges, colleges, universities, and other organizations to facilitate and enhance recruitment
- Evaluate monthly activity against standards and personal inquiry goals
- Meet quantitative and qualitative departmental goals for inquiries, applications, admitted, and enrolled students
- Represent the GWU at career fairs, professional conferences, and trade shows - travel, potentially overnight, will be expected
- Verify that applicant credentials are complete for consideration by admissions committees
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Financial Planning, Registrar Services, Student Success, and other campus offices to ensure a smooth and consistent transition from applicant to student
- Ability to travel (travel season, up to 70% travel, remainder of year 10% travel)
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all assigned programs including requirements, curriculum policies and procedures, student and faculty accomplishments, and general knowledge about the University as a whole.
RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle confidential student information with tact, discretion, and in compliance with FERPA regulations
- Work aggressively in the community to increase public awareness of GWU's programs, success stories, and opportunities
- Establish a dynamic, collaborative relationship with faculty, administration, program coordinators, and KTA staff
- Other duties as assigned or apparent
EDUCATION AND/OR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university; one-to-two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in higher education serving diverse students preferred
- Experience working in a professional setting with demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of tasks simultaneously in an organized and meticulous manner.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)
