Monitors and defines suitable park volunteer needs. Plans and conducts volunteer orientation and training sessions. Organizes and coordinates assignments of inmate labor services for the park. Serves as liaison with the Department of Corrections inmate labor program and improve value of services to the park.Provide research planning, coordination and conducts the interpretation of the natural cultural resources within the park, including guided walks, campfire programs, tours recreation skills programs and special events.Researches the history of a division facility, both cultural and natural and develops plans for restoration and implementation.Provides research development and coordination of a park information program. This includes the preparation of newspaper articles, public service announcements, photos, and other materials to optimize public awareness of the park. Identifies broadcast and print media interests cultivates positive media relations and promotes media coverage of the park.Plans and conducts community outreach activities to expand public understanding of the Florida Park Service resource management and protection objectives. Represents the park and Florida Park Service to outside agencies and organizations, disseminating information and promoting outdoor recreational opportunities provided by the park.Participates in planning and conducting resource management activities by implementing resource management techniques required for managing and restoring natural communities.Serves as liaison between park and District Park Programs Development Specialist and Education and Training Specialist.Provides research, development and library of funding sources for the park via corporate/foundation and public support entities. Design and implements public marketing relations program to encourage corporate/foundation and private support of the park.Plans, organizes and conducts in-service training programs to meet the needs of the park's employees.Perform other duties as required.Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of: Florida ecosystems and resource management techniques required to manage/restore natural communities; cultural resources preservation and restoration techniques; technical report writing, effective verbal and written communication principles and techniques. Skill in: producing photographs and slides. Ability to: research, plan and prepare educational, interpretive and promotional materials and programs; compile, organize and analyze data, programs and proposed projects; effectively present programs to staff, public and volunteers; operate personal computers.Minimum Qualifications:
