  • Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads and arrange business development meetings with prospective clients.
  • Work with suppliers, architects, designers, building owners, tenants, and contractors to create turnkey programs to manage multiple sites across the country.
  • Analyze situations, identify, and forecast potential problems. Evaluate branch sales performance to KPI sales targets and realistic options to recommend/implement appropriate courses of action against actual results.
  • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives and work with sales and operations to establish programs and parameters to meet and exceed the customer's expectations
  • Participate in the facilitation of national RFPs as requested by clients ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Give full-service life cycle presentations to architects, designers, and end users to educate them on the flooring industry and how Diverzify and our family of partner brands can benefit to them on their projects.
  • Work with account executives to submit quotes with material and labor pricing to existing, new or potential clients.
  • Work with President and Sales Manager to ensure customer contracts are accurate and aligned with estimate/proposal inclusions/exclusions.
  • Review cost proposals for changes in work during the commencement of the project and keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Work closely with local sales management to review sales reports and understand sales performance, forecasts, and other business metrics to identify problem areas that need improvement.
  • Recommending strategic changes to improve branch performance or implement new products or services
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support and help solve customer issues
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience in a similar role) required.
  • 5+ years of sales experience and demonstrated track record for meeting or exceeding assigned sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Previous sales experience, building science/construction management, or advanced commercial floor installation experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in channel distribution sales
  • 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Willing to travel up to 35% of the time may be needed, and attendance at industry and trade shows may be possible.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Is highly preferred
