Position: Labor Compliance/Payroll AssistantPay Rate: $23.00 /hourlyLocation: Stockton, CA Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pmJob Description:The HR Compliance Coordinator/Payroll Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all labor laws and regulations while assisting with payroll processing. This role involves maintaining accurate employee records, supporting HR compliance initiatives, and providing assistance in payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all employees. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Upload weekly certified payroll reports onto various compliance websites including Department of Industrial Relations, LCP Tracker, and iSupplier, Elations and EMARS
  • Assist with labor compliance start-up documents on new projects
  • Assist in updating Public Works startup documents and Fringe Benefits Statements when each Union Local increases
  • Data entry for Union Reporting on a monthly basis
  • Data entry for Target Marketing projects
  • Follow up with Subcontractors on their labor compliance start-up documents
  • Create various spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel for tracking Subs & Suppliers
  • Knowledge of I-9 verification process
  • DE34, W2's, EDD, and EEO reporting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including SharePoint
  • Knowledge of public works and DIR labor code strong plus
Qualifications:
  • Preferred background/Experience with Unions
  • Certified Payroll
  • Financial System Experience
  • Accounting /Administrative functions
  • Strong in Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding organizational Skills
  • Ability to work pleasantly and professionally under high pressure situations in a fast pace environment
  • Punctuality, team player attitude, enthusiasm
