Purpose of PositionAssisting the Executive Director in carrying out the functions and activities of the Office of the Director of Police (ODOP) across the U. T. System. Administratively represents the Executive Director, developing and maintaining professional contacts with internal and external stakeholders, and acts as project manager, coordinating complex law enforcement initiatives and departmental projects. Assists the Executive Director in the coordination and execution of strategic and long-term planning. Acts as a principal advisor to the Executive Director of ODOP, overseeing a range of critical functions including supervising administrative staff, policy development, special assignments, meeting preparation, and communications.

Additional InformationThe retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to a minimum of 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. Participation in TRS is mandatory.
