We are looking for a Senior Director Product Management DFS (Dosage Form Solutions) and Health Ingredients who will be responsible to take leadership and portfolio ownership of the CHI (Capsules & Health Ingredients) product and service offerings and to ensure customer, market and financial success. The ideal candidate will be accountable for data driven, customer validated understanding of the market as well as work closely with R&D to ensure that CHI maintains and builds on innovation leadership. The candidate will be an instrumental member of the marketing leadership team in developing a Go to Market strategy and plan to support the CHI business and financial objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Product Life Cycle Management
Continuously support the full life cycle of products from inception to retirement. Provide support to functions to ensure functionality and customer satisfaction.
* Develop a data driven strategy based on market, customer and competitive intelligence for long term accretive growth for the portfolio
* Develop operating mechanism to monitor portfolio performance
* Discontinue under-performing products
* Recommend product extensions or services to improve the performance of the portfolio
* Develop and regularly update value pricing guidelines and work with pricing and commercial excellence teams to communicate and monitor adherence
* Work with all functions to respond to requests (S&OP, complaints, proposal support, demos...)
* Have a good understanding of the mid to long term demand signals for each product line (marketing representative for BSR planning)
Product Innovation
Ensure CHI remains the leader in its segment with new product and service offerings that meet customer unmet needs and differentiated from competition. Understand new technologies and players entering the market that can be potential partners or competitors. Take leadership position in defining requirements and delivering new products on a timely basis.
* Create a product road map to ensure long term sustainability of portfolio
* Prepare and defend business cases for new product and service development
* Create a Go To Market plans for all new product introductions
* Customer and Market Insights. Understand customer needs and the opportunities for CHI as part of workflow needs
* Regularly meet with customers and look to develop coloration arrangements. Develop key understanding of customers' existing needs and unmet need and map them to our current and future through market and customer insight studies.
* Marketing and Sales Channel Management
* Works closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including but not limited to, business development and analytics, R&D, quality, regulatory, sales and sales training, to develop and implement global value based positioning and selling, channel strategies, and pricing corridors for assigned portfolio
* Evaluate new sales channels for the portfolio through partnership and distributor channels
* Works with marketing communications, outside agencies and regions to develop content for and regularly review of comprehensive marketing communication plans that include but are not limited to brochures, eblasts, website development, webinar scheduling, press releases, owned and paid advertisements, to establish consistent use of messaging, branding and marketing channels for the assigned portfolio
* Generates technical awareness and training in the appropriate departments to handle routine customer concerns
* Develop training and sales tool to enable sales effectiveness
* Work with global sales and channel partners through customer visits, lead monitoring and regular communication, including participation in regional and global sales meetings
Key requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Science, Chemistry or Engineering
* Demonstrated 10+ years of experience in managing large revenue complex product lines
* Strong team management skills - 4-8 people
* Previous experience of working within a role where coordination, prioritization and project management skills are required
* Ability to lead activities, projects and coordinate with multiple functional areas
* Able to plan, organize and establish priorities
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a group setting to meet timeline
* Excellent communication skills
