OverviewThe Superintendent - Concessions is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Project Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements, and other similar construction activities.COMPANY OVERVIEW:Founded in 1979, Lemartec is a national General Contractor / Construction Management Firm, and MasTec's Vertical construction arm. - Permit document administration and control
- Complete review and understanding of subcontractor's scope of work
- Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
- Control project access and traffic
- Tool/equipment inventory, coordination, and rental
- Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
- Coordinate with PM, PCM, and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC, and reporting
- Complete 3-week look ahead schedule and update master schedule with PCM
- Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
- Maintain As Built drawings for final submittal
- Coordinate and schedule project inspections
- Final inspection and proper close-out documentation
- Quality control of installed materials and Equipment
- Site layout and control of benchmarksQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years' work experience as a construction Superintendent - In lieu of degree, 10+ years of work experience.
- Experience with architecture and concessions is required
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must have project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control
- Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
- OSHA Certification - In depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
- Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs, and Document ControlIn addition to the above listed minimum requirements, candidates who possess the following skills, experience, and capabilities may receive greater consideration during the evaluation process:
- 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
- Experience in projects greater than $20 million
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
