Job Description: A FQHC in Manhattan is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Pediatric team in New York.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)Schedule: Monday to Friday (1 Saturday per month)Hours: 8am to 6pm (Mon & Wed); 8am to 5pm (Tues, Thurs, Fri); 8am to 4pm (Sat)EMR: eClinicalWorks (ECW)Patient Population: Pediatrics (Ages 0-21) - Medically Underserved PopulationPatient Volume: 20 per day Responsibilities:The Pediatric Nurse (RN) will:Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plansMonitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditionRecord patients' medical information and vital signsMonitor inventory of medications and immunizationOrder medications and immunizations as neededPrepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatmentsAssess the needs of individuals, families and / or communitiesEducate individuals, families and other groups on topicsEnsure that stock of clinical supplies is maintainedEnter patient's data into the medical records.Administer drugs, immunizations, medical devices or other forms of treatmentPerform other duties, as needed Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingCurrent NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseACLS and CPR certificationOutpatient Pediatric experienceSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized Desired Skills:2+ years of Nursing experienceBachelor's Degree in NursingExperience in Ambulatory Care, Medical-Surgical, Primary Care, and/or Women's Health settingExperience working with indigent or medically underserved populations.
