Looking at having that open Feb. 1 st of next year. Will be 5 days a week on-site after that. How long has the position been open? 11/19 Interview process : 2-3 rounds First round interview with Richard and then at les one other teams interview with a peer of a manager in the Accounting department. Anything special driving the open position(s)? After spiltting from Client, they rebranded the company to Candescent. They need to build out all new divisions within the organization and stand up a brand new ecosystem since they are rolling off Client's environment About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reconciliations, tangible asset re-evaluations, and driving process improvements to support the company's financial integrity and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Reconciliations
    • Prepare, analyze, and complete complex account reconciliations for corporate-level financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly and effectively.
  • Tangible Asset Reevaluation
    • Assess and revalue tangible assets, ensuring alignment with depreciation schedules and market conditions.
    • Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and impairments.
    • Collaborate with operational teams to verify asset utilization and valuation accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure all journal entries and adjustments related to reconciliations and tangible assets are accurate and timely.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation and asset management processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
    • Develop and document procedures to enhance accuracy and reduce time in accounting workflows.
  • Compliance and Audit
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls related to reconciliations and asset management.
    • Support audit processes by providing documentation and reconciliations as requested.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with finance, operations, and tax teams to provide accurate and timely data for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Assist in special projects, including system upgrades or implementation of asset management tools.
  • Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years in corporate accounting, with a strong focus on reconciliations and tangible asset management.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
      • Knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
      • Familiarity with asset reevaluation methodologies and reporting standards.
