We are actively seeking a full-time, permanent Shop Laborer I to join our growing team!   • Perform all duties safely, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Assemble basic mechanical equipment, structural components, and piping systems
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment
  • Prepare materials by removing burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Cut steel using various equipment (e.g., chop saws, band saws, CNC plasma tables, water jets, torches, and other hand tools)
  • Prepare fabricated parts for painting (grinding, sanding, and sandblasting)
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift
  • Use a variety of hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Drill holes in steel using drill presses, mills, mag drills, and hand tools
  • Fit and fabricate metal products
  • Deliver products and tools between field locations and the shop
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (drug and alcohol-free work environment)
  • Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and vehicles
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and following both verbal and written instructions
  • Willingness to travel to field sites as needed
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions/decimals, and solve basic geometric problems
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:
  • Extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, working on platforms, and using fall protection equipment when necessary
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, or damp environments)
