We are actively seeking a full-time, permanent Shop Laborer I to join our growing team! - Perform all duties safely, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assemble basic mechanical equipment, structural components, and piping systems
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment
- Prepare materials by removing burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Cut steel using various equipment (e.g., chop saws, band saws, CNC plasma tables, water jets, torches, and other hand tools)
- Prepare fabricated parts for painting (grinding, sanding, and sandblasting)
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Use a variety of hand tools safely and efficiently
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on assigned equipment
- Drill holes in steel using drill presses, mills, mag drills, and hand tools
- Fit and fabricate metal products
- Deliver products and tools between field locations and the shop
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (drug and alcohol-free work environment)
- Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and vehicles
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and following both verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to travel to field sites as needed
- Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions/decimals, and solve basic geometric problems
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:
- Extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
- Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing
- Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools, materials, and equipment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, working on platforms, and using fall protection equipment when necessary
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, or damp environments)
