THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Game Commission's Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management is looking to hire a dedicated and motivated division chief for their Environmental Planning and Habitat Program division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Wildlife Habitat Management Program Chief role is the division chief responsible for directing the Commission's oil/gas & mineral resource program and its statewide environmental impact assessment for all oil/gas & mineral resource recovery operations. You will oversee a diverse staff of professional and non-professional employees as well as collaborate and coordinate with a variety of consulting, engineering, and environmental specialists, and private company representatives. Work also utilizes complex technical material and calculations used in the geological sciences, includes interpreting state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to wildlife and habitats, and involves developing and implementing new or revised technical program rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
The Commission will rely on your experience and judgment to make decisions on day-to-day administration of the program, resolve issues and problems as they arise, and seek the advice of the Bureau Director or the Executive office of Chief Counsel as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* Four years of professional natural resource management experience that includes two years of experience in land acquisition or land management work, and a bachelor's degree in natural resource management, biology, forestry, ecology, geosciences, environmental sciences, or a closely related field; or
* Four years of professional natural resource management experience that includes two years of experience in land acquisition or land management work, and four years of paraprofessional or technical experience in natural resource management; or
* An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of professional natural resource management experience in land acquisition or land management work.
Other Requirements:
* PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
