What are your responsibilities?The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse-related duties such as receiving and storage of parts, preparing orders for shipment by picking items from shelves and ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, continually striving for improved customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:- Inspect and verify part numbers received against purchase and repair orders, while reporting discrepancies and any obvious signs of damage.
- Stocks shelves with several types of parts and materials.
- Prepares orders for shipment by pulling parts from shelves, inspecting, and placing them in boxes to be packed and sent to customers.
- Assemble parts for project-based shipments.
- Preparing shipping documents and shipping parts to our customers.
- Processes and performs data entry of returns; also returns parts to proper shelf in the warehouse.
- Performs monthly cycle counts.
- Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that parts remain clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
What do you need to qualify for this role?- Successful completion of background check, including drug screening.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years' experience of working in a shipping & receiving environment with customs knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions names and shelf labels.
- Have a good overall understanding of warehouse workflow and can work with minimal guidance.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
- Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
- Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to operate power equipment at elevated levels (20'-40') such as Forklift, reach trucks, picker machines etc.
- Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, DHL shipping programs.
- Working knowledge of international shipping documents (Shipper's Letter of Instruction, Electronic Export Information, Certificate of Origin, and others as required.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Maintain appropriate attendance standards.
