Job Title: Entry Level Project Accountant
Job Description
The Project Accountant will support the accounting team by tracking purchase orders (POs) and project funds for large projects. These projects typically last 12-18 months and range in value from $2-30 million. The role involves daily use of Sage Intact and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions). The Project Accountant will work closely with the Project Manager to gather necessary accounting data. After gaining proficiency in project accounting, the individual will also take on general accounting responsibilities such as month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
+ Track purchase orders (POs) and project funds for large projects.
+ Utilize Sage Intact and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) daily.
+ Collaborate with the Project Manager to obtain necessary accounting data.
+ Take on general accounting duties such as month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable after training.
Essential Skills
+ Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Basic Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
+ Experience with project-based accounting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $26.44
