We are an employer of choice for anyone interested in a meaningful career in the social services field.SUMMARY Lead the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiative at the programmatic level, including by researching, designing, advocating for, training staff on, and otherwise implementing and maintaining controls, checks, systems, policies, and protocols that are effective in promoting contract and legal compliance, high quality program performance, high quality client service, mitigation of risk, and consistent use of best practices. Ensure that the program takes all necessary steps to maintain applicable program operating licenses and credentials. Coordinate with the BronxWorks CQI team to develop, implement, and maintain cross-departmental and/or universally applicable best practice policies/ procedures and templates. Other duties as assigned by Program Director, Department Director or Director of Quality and Compliance. Limited evenings and weekend hours may be required. DATA - MONTHLY
- Design, implement and maintain a variety of audit tools, assessments, surveys, reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), data systems, and dashboards that effectively track, evaluate, monitor and communicate: program impact, performance against targets, compliance with contractual and legal obligations, risk mitigation action plans, client experiences in receiving program services, efficiency, and other relevant data points as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of data entered into programmatic databases; create monthly program progress reports based on data and review findings with program and organizational leadership.
- Manage all data reporting and data integrity for the program
TRAINING - AS NEEDED
- Provide and/or facilitate effective staff training in relevant areas (both at orientation and ongoing), such as regarding case administration procedures, applicable law and regulations, contract requirements, agency and program policies and procedures, data systems and data entry protocols, and the use of data toward programmatic improvement
PROGRAM SUPPORT - MONTHLY AND AS NEEDED
- Regularly review program impact, performance against targets, compliance with contractual and legal obligations, risk mitigation action plans, client experiences in receiving program services, efficiency, and other relevant data points as needed. Make recommendations for improvement, project manage program development and improvement initiatives, and support as needed, such as by developing new policies, procedures, resources, or trainings.
- Coordinate and conduct internal CQI audits that are effective in helping the program to avoid or reduce findings during external audits or reviews. Support program in preparing for external audits. Provide support for funder site visits, audits, and other evaluative activities. Develop corrective action plans in response to internal and external audit findings. Guide program through next steps or corrective action.
- Assist in facilitating incident management practices. Regularly review incidents, identify patterns/trends and make recommendations for preventative or corrective actions.
- Complete annual risk assessments for each program and follow up on mitigation strategies during monthly program audits.
- Assist with programmatic duties on a limited basis, including data entry, reviewing resumes and hire packets, assisting at program events, or other tasks as relevant (note that programs that work with children will need to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and clearances).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant database administration, data analysis, program operation, assessment and/or program evaluation experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience and high level of competency in using and maintaining software-based data systems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once.
- Bilingual Spanish/English language fluency is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business technology
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
