Legal AssistantNassau County - ( Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)We are seeking a Legal Assistant with 5+ years of law firm experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. This role requires a team player who can collaborate effectively, manage competing priorities, and work independently when needed.**Key Responsibilities:**- Support multiple attorneys by managing their daily tasks, adapting to their unique needs and priorities.- Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, agreements, complaints, motions, and pleadings.- File documents electronically with courts (ECF/NYSCEF/AAA).- Manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, calls, and Zoom sessions.- Open new matters, prepare retainer agreements, and update related documents.- Enter case progress data for No-Fault matters in Time Matters.- Track attorney billable hours using iTimekeep.- Provide general administrative support (answering phones, scanning, copying, submitting expenses via Chrome River).Requirements:- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).- Fast typing speed (55+ WPM) with advanced Word skills.- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Ability to work in a team and independently.- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (Hybrid: Minimum 3 days in office, 2 days remote).
