The Assistant Superintendent will work closely under a Field Superintendent to provide overall field management and administration to field employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest quality standards, remain on schedule, and are completed within budget.Who we are: Wright Contracting, Inc is a full-service construction company with a deep commitment to delivering high-quality commercial, institutional, and industrial projects in the greater Knoxville metropolitan area.   • Assist in all aspects of the project from planning to implementation, ensuring the highest quality standards, appropriate personnel allocation, budget adherence, and timely scheduling.
  • Monitor resources for assigned projects, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise field employees, subcontractors, and all construction equipment on assigned project(s).
  • Regularly review drawings and specifications to ensure that all work aligns with project requirements.
  • Inspect materials from suppliers to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Review and monitor the quality of subcontractor work, ensuring it adheres to original plans and specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all work aligns with the project's original specifications and plans.
  • Assist with the implementation and interpretation of safety programs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Schedule materials and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability for ongoing projects.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Previous construction field experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
  • Will need 10 or 30 hour OSHA, First Aid, and CPR certifications (training provided).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (ability to switch job sites during the day if needed).
  • Open to candidates with 1 hour commute.

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
