Job Description :

We are currently hiring a Switchgear Service Center Manager for one of our clients based in New York. This is a great opportunity to join a truly global business who are at the forefront of their industry. The Switchgear Service Center Manager role will be focused on coordinating and managing plant equipment, personnel along with repair processes. The Switchgear Service Center Manager will also be accountable for implementing cost-effective repair results that meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets. Typically the role will also be responsible for handling day-today warehouse operations and overseeing third-party logistic companies.

Below is a list of the key responsibilities for the role, whilst not exhaustive, that you will need to be able to perform to be successful;

  • Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelors degree preferred, especially in Electrical Engineering or a related field)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining switchgear and associated electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience or supervising CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Familiarity with industrial systems, including drive tuning, and expertise in fabrication and equipment evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in electrical and engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to mentor technicians and collaborate effectively with contractors.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, present results to senior management, and provide training.
  • Strong collaboration skills with diverse teams and proficiency in preparing and delivering technical documentation.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex systems and developing effective organizational solutions.
  • Must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.

The ideal candidate must have 5 years of Switchgear experience, an Associates Degree with a minimum of 5+ years or equivalent education and experience. You should also be able to demonstrate experience in the testing and evaluation of power delivery equipment.
