DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance team by inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet the company's quality standards. This role involves hands-on inspection, documentation, and communication with other departments to maintain high levels of quality and efficiency in production. The ideal candidate will be detailed, display an eagerness to learn about fashion and products, will be organized, inquisitive, responsive, have the ability to handle multiple projects at one time. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inspect products and materials at various stages of production to ensure they meet established standards. Assist with the testing of products to verify quality and performance. Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs. Report any defects, inconsistencies, or issues to supervisors and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with production staff to address quality concerns and provide feedback. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the quality control workspace. Follow established procedures and guidelines for quality control and testing processes. Assist with the calibration of tools and equipment used in quality checks. Sorts and hold samples for incoming product verification; Manage returns through Production Control personnel so they can be scheduled within the capacity available for manufacturing; Answer quality questions from various areas; Manage and track styles to be reworked through warehouses; Order rework account stickers to track costs; Follow up on open issues.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Train the following Knit Department operations for linking, mending, final verify, weighing and packing; Occasionally fill in as an operator for the positions above to keep product flowing; Occasionally help the DC pick and pack orders; Other projects as designated by management.RequirementsIn addition to the above traits, candidates must have the following:
- US Work Authorization
- Ability to navigate stairs/stairwells to get to job location(s)
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work with or near wool material and products
- Ability to work in environments that can become extremely hot/humid
