Job DescriptionJob Purpose or Objective(s): As an Environmental Services Staff Member, you will ensure the cleanliness of the casino facilities. You will report to the EVS Supervisor, EVS Shift Manager, or EVS Manager on duty.This is an Extra Board Position Pay for EVS is based on the times you work!7:30am-1:00pm - $141:00pm-7:00pm - $157:00pm-7:30am - $16Schedules will overlap the pay differentials and allow you to make one rate for part of your shift and a higher rate for part of your shift.Primary Tasks:You will help stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms or work areas; move or lift objects to do so.You will operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, Casino floor, and other work, storage, and customer areas including metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner.You will empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork.Clean biohazard materialAnswer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department.Help clean any problem areas.Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.Required Education and experience:Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience in the hospitality industryKnowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic maintenanceGeneral knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industryUnderstand government public health regulationsAbout the Choctaw NationThe Choctaw Nation is the third-largest Indian nation in the United States, with over 200,000 tribal members and more than 11,000 employees.
