Job Description Arconic is currently in search of Night Shift Plant Supervisor to join our Kawneer Springdale team. ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:
- Lead Safety, Quality, and Production performance during the night shift (The Night Shift Department Leads are directly accountable to this position with overall responsibility to the Department Manager/Supervisor)
- Be an advocate for our Customers helping ensure Quality and OTIF
- Coach, train, and mentor Department Leads
- Ensure Plant Priorities are being followed
- Attend L1 meetings and help ensure the meetings are conducted to standard
- Conduct nightly L3 Meetings per standard
- Work with Department Leads to ensure proper staffing in priority areas including making decisions on flexing labor to most effectively reach our nightly goals
- Serve as the Night Shift On-Site Emergency Action Coordinator
- Investigate Triple I's, Quality Escapes, Personnel Issues, etc
- Transfer knowledge from day shift to night shift
- Conduct Gemba Walks
- Ensure adherence to Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing Policies
- Complete nightly shift reports
- Be a hands-on contributor and lead by example, this is not an office job
- Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
Employee is required to follow all safety and health requirements listed in the applicable procedures and work instructions.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- GED/High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years in a Leadership Role in manufacturing
- Minimum of five years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Understands and can demonstrate how to coach human performance
- Effective written and oral communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Education
- Strong leadership skills
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, organizations, customers, and outside regulatory agencies
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, such as percentages, area circumference, and volume
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Computer Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, JDE, and the ability to learn computer systems quickly.
