The selected candidates for these positions will play a key role in the development of software for commercial human spaceflight modules.Key Duties:
- Design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy software solutions such as propulsion, command & data handling (C&DH), environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS), guidance navigation and control (GN&C), caution and warning (C&W), networks, datalinks, power, and other flight systems.
- Design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy software in prototype, simulation, and flight environments.
- Communicate with subject matter experts across disciplines, users, and management throughout the software test and development lifecycle.
- Maintain disciplined software configuration control and management processes.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- 2 or more years of related experience.
- Experience developing code in languages such as C, C++, Rust, VHDL, and Python in a Linux environment.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or another related technical discipline.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Flight software experience.
- Experience with scrum and the agile framework using tools such as JIRA
- Experience with Git, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), JAMA, and Confluence.
- Comfortable with common embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, RS-232/422/485, and ethernet.
- Experience working with networking protocols such as TSN, UDP, and TCP.
- Working with software development standards such as DO-178C.
- Experience designing software in UML such as use-case diagrams, activity diagrams, timing diagrams, etc.
