Client Details

Our Client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to manage day-to-day operations of their site in Stamford, CT.

Description

  • Develop and implement strategies for purchasing, sourcing, and manufacturing that align with our vision of enhancing operational efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Lead and cultivate a high-performing team, while fostering an innovative and collaborative culture.
  • Expand current inventory management system.
  • Ensure the establishment of world-class manufacturing capabilities, focusing on delivering superior quality and production outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to optimize the supply chain, ensuring cultural competence and strategic alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions to optimize processes using lean methodologies.
  • Strategically support new product developments, ensuring alignment to customer requirements and timely, cost-effective market launches.
  • Commit to sustainability practices and foster a culture of social responsibility throughout operations.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to strengthen relationships and support global coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile

  • At least 8 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the military and aerospace industry
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and supervising diverse staff
  • Experience with outsourcing or offshoring of manufacturing operations
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to understand commercial, quality and technical requirements
  • Understanding of Quality Systems and Standards (ISO:9000 and/or AS9100)
  • Excellent organizational and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite - strong Excel skills (pivot tables, graphs, charts)
  • Knowledge of various ERP systems and their functionalities
  • Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
