Welder Parts InspectorToyota Material Handling Heavy Duty 4407 Railroad Ave East Chicago, IN Core warehouse hours 630 am to 3pm What We're Looking For: Toyota is seeking a Welder Parts Inspector who performs a variety of tasks to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, that is reliable, and considers themselves a go-getter.
- 0-2 years of experience in repairs, quality control, or similar
- Inspects or measures work, using tape measures, calipers, gauges and other assorted measuring instruments
- Proficient computer skills
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
What You'll Be Doing:
- Read labels, tags, identification plates, and stenciled markings to ensure that items correspond
- Examine products for surface defects, weld size, weld dims
- Compare unit with shipping order to determine if correct accessories are present
- Perform root cause analysis as required and develops counter measures.
- Develop and implement quality standards
- Facilitates the improvement of the product via reports, quality alerts, audits, etc.
- Assists the Warranty Department as required on understanding of products Sales Orders
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Operate hand and power tools of all types and a variety of other equipment and instruments
- Prepare product for final delivery to customer by cleaning Bills of Material
- May use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies and bridge cranes
- Inspect parts from outsourced parts
