Our client, a well-established General Contractor based in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. They are a reputable firm and a destination company working on school and other commercial projects.
Description
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical aspects of public school projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets specific to mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and onsite staff to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and project specifications.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and conduct regular inspections of mechanical work.
- Prepare project documentation, including RFI submissions, submittals, and change orders.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience managing mechanical systems in construction, preferably within public or institutional projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, local building codes, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
